Donald Lee Olsen 76, of Ephraim Utah passed away July 12, 2019 in Payson Utah of natural causes surrounded by family. Donald was born August 19, 1942 to Kay Arthur and Roberta Henrie Olsen. He was the second of six sons. He graduated from Manti High School in 1960 and attended Snow College. While growing up, he worked on his dad's farm and herded sheep in the mountains above Ephraim where he learned his great work ethics.
He married Karma Peterson on June 14, 1969 in Manti Utah and together they had three children. She preceded him in death July 26, 2011.
He worked at Moroni feed for 37 years where he made many friends and acquaintances retiring in January 2017. Donald enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He enjoyed camping, being in the mountains and riding his horse Skip.
He is survived by his children: Donna (Brandon) Butler, Tooele; Chris (Jenny) Olsen, Nephi; Mickey Olsen, Tooele; grandchildren: Tessa, Chassity, Kaydon and Dawson Olsen; Koty, Richard, Michael and Kaylee Butler. He is also survived by his brothers: Larry, David, Kim, Lanny and Gary Olsen.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife Karma; parents, Kay and Roberta; two sisters-in-law, Jeanne Olsen and LaRae Olsen; in-laws, Ervan and Jennie Lou Peterson; and a nephew Jason Olsen.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 18, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Ephraim 5th Ward Chapel, 765 South 100 East. Viewings will be held at the church on Wednesday July 17, from 6-8 pm and prior to services on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 am. Interment will follow at the Ephraim Park Cemetery.
