Norma (Lundgreen) JensenNovember 11, 1923 ~ February 2, 2017 (age 93)
Our dear, sweet mother, Norma Lundgreen Jensen, 93, passed peacefully away February 3, 2017 in Richfield. She was born November 11, 1923 in Monroe to Peter Charles and Louine Staker Lundgreen. She married Harry McKay Jensen, November 16, 1946 in Elko, NV. After 65 years together, he preceded her in death, March 2, 2012.
Mom always kept herself busy and had a great work ethic. While in California, she was a "Rosie the riveter". She was a seamstress, a school lunch lady, and worked at Christensen’s Hardware Store.
An active member of the LDS Church, she was baptized in the Manti Temple. Mom did mountains of genealogy and was a staff worker at the Family History Library. She loved working in the scout program and enjoyed that calling for many years. Among other callings, she led the singing in church, put on road shows and was the compassionate service leader. A voracious journal writer. A member of the DUP.
Mom was an upbeat person. She always had a smile on her face. She was out-spoken, but she was easy to converse with and loved to talk to people. She made friends easily. She was physically active and was never idle. She was always taking something to one of her neighbors and was there to welcome someone new.
Mom loved her grandchildren. She had the time to spend with them and they knew they were loved.
She is survived by her daughters: Norma Jean (Kirt) Anderson, Monroe; Marcia Louine (Doug) Sunderland, Monroe; 9 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceded in death by: parents; siblings: Grant (Sylvia) Lundgreen, Joseph Lundgreen, Winona (Harold) Lowe, Lucille (Emerson) Curtis.
