Phyllis and her beloved twin brother Phil were born in Richfield, Utah to Elliod and Elsie Burr Morrison on February 11, 1940. Being born into a large family has brought many blessings, most important to her were her brothers and sisters. Mom met the love of her life on a blind date to her junior prom. That night Dad wore a white sports coat and a pink carnation just like the song. From then on they danced every chance they got. They were married on February 28, 1957 in Richfield their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple.
Mom worked from an early age and never slowed down until her health declined. She loved people and while working with the public she made many life long friends. Mom worked as a cosmetologist for many years while Dad worked his way through school. Later Mom worked in the schools helping in the reading programs, and managed Jensen Floral in Gunnison for many years. Mom was lucky to be able to work at jobs she loved.
