Susan Cox Corcoran, 72, of Manti, passed away August 8, 2017 in Provo from congestive heart failure. She was born November 15, 1944 in Manti to Ray P. and Dorothy Sorensen Cox, where she lived most of her life.
Susan graduated from Manti High School in 1963 and attended Snow College, where she studied business. This came in handy later in life when she and Dan had their own business. Susan fell in love a with a North Sanpete boy, Dan Corcoran, and married her high school sweetheart June 26, 1964.
Soon after marriage they moved to Las Vegas. Susan was a secretary for the governor’s office for four years and then started her family during that time.
Susan was a wonderful pianist and organist, she loved sewing and crafts, and when she was younger she sewed professionally. She loved needle work and making chocolate. Some of her many church callings included Young Women’s president in Las Vegas and Relief Society president in Manti. She found those callings some of the most rewarding times of her life.
They moved back to Manti in 1974, built a home and moved in by 1978. Susan was able to help build the cabinets, paint and install flooring in their new home.
Susan is survived by her children: Karen (Terry) Davies, Becky (Albert) Douglas, Jody (Kyle) Nelson. She is preceded in death by her husband Dan, and her parents.
