Ali Jones

Central Valley, Utah

Alexis "Ali" Lynn Jones, 7, returned to live with our Father in Heaven Saturday, December 31, 2011, in Salt Lake City, surrounded by her family. Ali was born August 19, 2004, in Orem to Trenton DeVere and Jessica Lynn Colton Jones. She was the oldest child and brought with her a perfect spirit to share with her family.

Ali reminds us all that life should be celebrated. Although she never spoke a word, Ali taught us to be patient and kind. Her courage and strength would shine through as she overcame incredible odds and happily continued her journey day by day. Her smile and giggles would melt the hearts of everyone that met her.

Ali enjoyed music and the sounds of children laughing and talking. She loved going to school and interacting with children, especially when they would read to her. She loved going for walks, bike rides, and jumping on the trampoline. Ali had a special bond with her Grandma Colton who was always happy to spend time with her gentle spirit. Ali will be missed by more people than we will ever know.

Ali leaves behind many wonderful friends, doctors, teachers, and aides who provided love and support that enhanced her quality of life. All of these special people, too numerous to mention, provided Ali with the tools she needed to teach us that every individual is important in God’s plan. Thank you to all that have helped Ali throughout her short life.

Ali is survived by her loving parents, Trent and Jessica Jones; sister, Karli Jones; paternal grandmother Ronnell Jones, Monroe; maternal grandparents Chris and Dennyce Colton, Central Valley; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her baby brother Tyson and paternal grandfather Larry Jones.
