Amber Lynn Alder Olson,  passed from this life and into the arms of her loving Heavenly Father on January 5, 2023. She passed away in her home in Manti, surround by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 43.
Amber was born March 3, 1979 in Mt. Pleasant to Roger and Shelley Wintch Alder. She loved animals, especially horses. One of the highlights of her life was showing her American Quarter Horse “Spice” which took First Place Filly and Reserve Champion Mare. Amber participated in the Sanpete County Sweetheart Royalty, high school and college rodeo, breakaway roping, and qualified for High School National Finals in cutting. One of her favorite places to be was up Manti Canyon on her horse riding for pleasure. Amber had many talents such as singing, piano, dance and gymnastics. She was always on the honor roll and attended Girls State. After graduation from Manti High School, she graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Utah State University in Animal Science.
Amber was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a personal relationship with her Savior. She served as a full time missionary in the Texas Fort Worth-Lubbock mission. Amber loved her time serving the people there. She treasured her mission, it was a wonderful experience for her. She served in various church callings, including several years as Primary president.
Amber was married to Garrett Glen Olson on December 20, 2003 in the Manti Temple. Together it was their lifelong dream for her to be home with their five amazing children, who love her so very much. As a family they enjoyed supporting each other on the sidelines of sports games, raising Australian Shepherd puppies, and spending time in the mountains hunting, hiking, camping, and riding motorcycles.
Amber was a friend to all who knew her. She had a beautiful, contagious smile and influenced many with her gentle, loving personality. She leaves a legacy of kindness, serving and sharing through her words and deeds. She was a great example to us all.
