Ann Lyne Oldroyd
Richfield, Utah

Ann Lyne Langston Oldroyd, 73, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 28, 2021 at the Stonehenge Rehabilitation Center in Richfield, Utah.  Ann was born on October 1, 1947 in Hurricane, Utah to Verl and Christine Mennechet Langston.  Her father was an educator and rancher from Rockville, Utah, and her mother, who had a multitude of talents originated from Laon, France.  The family moved to Bozeman, Montana to further Verl’s education, and then on to Escalante, Utah and eventually to Richfield.

Ann graduated from Richfield High School with the class of “65”.  She then attended C.S.U. in Cedar City and LDS Business College in Salt Lake City where she graduated with an associate’s degree in 1967.  Shortly thereafter, Ann married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Oldroyd on May 27, 1967.  After moving to southern California for 3 years and starting a family, they returned to Richfield, Utah in 1973 to establish their permanent home.

Ann enjoyed a career in the banking/mortgage lending industry, but devoted most of her life being close to family and raising her two children.  Ann was beloved by many in the Richfield area, and enjoyed selling AVON later in her life as a way to stay active and socialize within the community.  Ann always loved Maltese dogs and over the years enjoyed their companionship and calming nature.  Ann tirelessly and selflessly supported her children in all their endeavors and always had an open door for her children's friends.  She looked forward to their visits, and always had something good in the fridge for them to eat.  Ann deeply cherished her family heritage and made family the unwavering priority in her life.   Sharing a visit from or with Ann will be missed by many.

Ann was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She is survived by her husband Ronald Oldroyd, Richfield; brother, Eric Rulon (Sherolyn) Langston, Richfield; sister, Karen (Brad) Sampson, Cheney, WA; son, Ryan R. Oldroyd, Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Natalie Ann Young, St. George;  4 grandchildren: Nicholas Rex Tanner, Annabella; Natasha Ann Oldroyd, Richfield (who Ann and Ron have raised as their own since she was one year old); Nathan Scott Young, Richfield; and Emersyn Yvonne Oldroyd, Phoenix, AZ; 2 great-grandchildren: Elena Jane Tanner and Tytan Nicholas Tanner, and many nieces and nephews to whom she showed so much love over the years.

Ann is welcomed home in heaven by her father, Verl Langston; mother, Christine Mennechet Langston; brother:, Michael Verl Langston; grandparents: Elie Phillipe Mennechet and Yvonne Adelina Clement; Rulon Andrew Langston and Nona Mae Demille; and by her beloved Maltese dogs over the years, Coquet, Gidget, Bambi, and Abby.

The family wants to extend a special thanks to all her immediate, long-time neighbors who were always there for support as well as all of the medical personnel that administered care in her time of need.
