Barbara Linnett

October 3, 1961 — July 16, 2011

Barbara Nielson Linnett, age 49, our beloved sister, aunt and friend, returned to her Heavenly Father on July 16, 2011, and to the loving arms of her earthly mother and father. Barbara was born October 3, 1961, in Manti to Calvin D. and Laura Bach Nielson.

Barbara graduated from Manti High School and LDS Seminary in 1980. She attended Snow College and Richfield Technical College where she received her certificate in the nursing program. Barbara worked at Sperry Univac in Ephraim and also as a nanny in California.

Barbara was very devoted to the gospel of Jesus Christ and served in the Oklahoma Tulsa LDS Mission in 1984. On April 7, 1987, Barbara married her eternal companion, Clarence W. Linnett in the LDS Temple. Barbara and Clarence served as full time temple workers at the Jordan River Temple. They loved BYU and attending the sport activities there. Barbara and Clarence spent many happy years together. Clarence passed away in 2005.

Barbara was a very thoughtful, caring and giving person. She loved her church, family and friends. She also loved to crochet, read and watch movies.

Barbara is survived by her brothers, Dale (Linda) Nielson, Manti; Wayne Nielson, Spanish Fork; sister, Mary Mackey, Kingston,Washington; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank everyone who has been so kind and loving to Barbara over the years.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Magleby Morturary, 195 West 100 North, Manti, Utah. Friends may call prior to services at the Mortuary from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Manti City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
