Bonnie Luzon Hansen
1939 – 2026
Bonnie Luzon Hansen, 86, of Greeley, passed away April 19, 2026, in Greeley, Colorado. She was born to
Fred L Carpenter and Mary Luzon (Sondrup) Longaker on July 1, 1939, in Manti, Utah.
After high school, she attended Snow College in Ephraim and later got her Bachelor's degree from Westminster College in Salt Lake City.
She married her sweetheart, Morris “Spike”, and was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.
Bonnie was a talented individual and a hard worker. She did secretarial work for Hi-Land Dairy, Olsen Construction, Christensen Diamond, and Northwest Pipeline. She was also the office manager at the Cottonwood Country Club before retiring.
Bonnie brought beauty to the world through her many talents, including sewing, crocheting, knitting, and painting. Perhaps her greatest talent was loving people. With Morris, she created a home of faith, laughter, and love.
For over 15 years, she and Morris had booths at the Fort Collins Flea Markets. They loved antiquing and just being together. But above all, her family and Faith were her priorities. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Bonnie and Morris served two missions in Greeley for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Mary (Bruce) Holt, Colene (Kevin) Gardner, Bonnie “Patti” Hansen, Mitchell (Teri) Hansen, and Bradley Hansen; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers John (Victoria) Longaker, Fred (Jane) Carpenter, Phillip (Tracey) Carpenter and many other family and friends.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Morris, daughter, Jolene, and brother, Robert Longaker.
