    Brett James Esplin, 67, of Marysvale, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born March 24, 1956 in St. George to Dwane and Lou Slade Esplin.  He and his wife, Mary Jane Leavitt, have been married for 47 years.
    Brett graduated from Dixie High School then attended Dixie College. He worked at Moore Business Forms before moving to Marysvale in 1978 with his parents to pursue his passion for ranching. Working alongside his father for many years, he finally retired from the ranching business after 37 years in 2015.  He loved riding horses, working cattle, old westerns, basketball, hunting, trapping, and anything that involved his family and friends.
    Brett is survived by his children: Casey (Elisha), Dusty (Kellie); grandchildren: Jaysa and Parker; and brothers: Mike (Pat), Phillip, Gary (DeAnna); and sister, Tami.
    Please join the family for graveside services held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Thompsonville Cemetery. There will be no public viewing.  Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
