In Loving Memory of Brett Craig Ross
September 9, 1971 – October 24, 2025
Brett Craig Ross was born on September 9, 1971, in Richfield, Utah, to Craig and Vickie Ross. He passed away unexpectedly on October 24, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and generosity that will never be forgotten.
Brett was the beloved husband of Cher Ross, his soulmate and the love of his life. Their story began with a chance meeting on the boulevard in St. George—one look was all it took for them both to know they had found their forever person. They were married on August 7, 1992, and together built a beautiful life filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering devotion.
Brett was the proud father of five children: Jace Brett (Sarah) Ross, Courtney Lin (Charlie) Fry, Jaron Craig (Gracie) Ross, and his beloved late children, Jadon B Ross and Brittney K Ross. He was a loving grandfather to Blaire Ross, Ace Fry, and Maddux Fry, who brought endless joy to his life. He is also survived by his mother, Vickie Ross, and his sisters, Lisa Buchanan and Shelli (Lewis) Taub. He was preceded in death by his father, Craig Lott Ross, and his two cherished children, Jadon and Brittney.
From a young age, Brett’s mischievous sparkle and unforgettable grin made him the heart of every room he entered. Known for his humor and larger-than-life personality, he could lift anyone’s spirits and make even ordinary moments unforgettable. Brett graduated from Richfield High School, class of 1990, where he excelled in all sports, especially football.
Brett lived life to the fullest. He worked as a service manager at Classic Motors before launching his own trucking business, which he ran successfully for many years. In 2005, Brett and his father purchased and opened Frontier Village, a restaurant that became a cherished part of the community. He was passionate about giving back—whether sponsoring local youth programs, supporting community events, or quietly helping those in need, Brett always found ways to serve others.
Together with his wife, Cher, he helped bring the Angel of Hope statue to the community—a lasting tribute to children who have passed on, offering comfort and healing to countless families.
Family was the center of Brett’s world. He was always there when his loved ones needed him—whether driving through a snowstorm at one in the morning to bring cold medicine to Courtney, meeting Jaron halfway across the country to help him move home, or surprising Jace and Sarah with a new bed for their first apartment. His acts of love, both big and small, spoke volumes about the kind of man he was.
Brett’s happiest moments were spent surrounded by his family and friends—especially on fishing trips, coaching youth sports, or cooking for gatherings. He made sure to give his family the best memories. From Lake Powell trips to dancing in the kitchen while cooking dinner. They never missed a meal with Brett around.
Lake Powell was his family’s happy place, where countless memories were made. His final trip there with Cher and their two dogs was a simple, beautiful time together that she will forever hold close to her heart.
Brett will be remembered for his boundless energy, his heart of gold, and the laughter that followed him everywhere. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit, love, and lessons will continue to guide those who were blessed to know him.
We will forever miss your smile, your laughter, and the light you brought into our lives. Until we meet again, we love you.
