Byron “Lee” Danvers, 81, passed away on May 5th, 2025, in Gunnison, Utah. He was born to June Wood and John “Byron” Danvers on February 6th, 1944, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Lee graduated from Granite High School in 1962 and went on to become a truck driver, later transitioning to a career as a driving instructor. In his early years, he enjoyed fishing and taking his 1967 Barracuda to the racetrack. Known for his sarcasm and wit, Lee delighted in sharing little-known facts about random celebrities and was a devoted fan of Neil Diamond. Lee was a cowboy at heart who enjoyed western stories, movies, and country music.
Lee is survived by his children, Tracey (George), Troy (Josette), Trent (Billie), and Terry (Tammie) as well as 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, the mother of his children, Janice, ex-wife Bev, wife Betsy, and son Todd.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Shawn Edwards and Jessica Hansen for their care and companionship to Lee over the past several years. Your kindness and dedication brought comfort and joy to his life during this time.
Cremation services will be held at the Magleby Mortuary and Cremation Center. His remains will be scattered at a location dear to his heart later.
