Caleb Perry Payne passed away March 31, 2025. Caleb was born October 15, 1982, the 4th child of Perry and RaDawn Payne. He completed the family joining a brother and 2 sisters, Jessica, Logan and Shallon.

He went to school in Monroe and graduated from South Sevier High School in 2001, where he played on 2 State Champion basketball teams. He attended college at Southern Utah University, Utah Valley University and University of Utah. He graduated from Northwest Lineman College in Meridian, Idaho April 2015.

He married Kandace Jacobs December 12, 2003, they later divorced. They had one son, Caliber Jay Payne, who was the joy of Caleb’s life. Caleb and Caliber were not just father and son, they were best friends.

Caleb had many hobbies, hunting, roping, snow boarding, and playing basketball. He was a constant tease to his nephews and nieces. Caleb worked in the family plumbing business, as an electrician, lineman, and in plumbing supply stores, mainly at Peterson Plumbing Supply which was like a second family to him. Caleb made friends everywhere he went and will deeply be missed.

Caleb is survived by his parents, Perry and RaDawn Payne; siblings, Jessica (Brett) Smith, Logan (Jayme) Payne, Shallon (Rick, deceased) Engle; son, Caliber Jay Payne. He is also preceded in death by grandparents, DarRell “Dick” Payne, Leslie and Dorette Jepson Gledhill.

Funeral Services will be Monday, April 7, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Monroe Stake Center. Viewings will be Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm at Magleby Mortuary and prior to services on Monday at the Stake Center from 9:30 - 10:30 am. Interment will be in the Monroe City Cemetery.
