Listen to Obituary

On May 7, 2026, Carol Ann "Honey" "Carl" Christensen McIntosh was reunited with her husband, parents, and many other loved ones, including several dogs that she loved like children.

Carol was born April 20, 1958, in Arizona, to Douglas DeWayne Christensen and Mary Ellen Allred Christensen. She was the oldest of four children. As the oldest, Carol was protective and caring to her siblings, especially after their parents passed.

Carol married the love of her life, Bruce McIntosh, on April 10, 1994, at their favorite spot on the beach at Piute Reservoir. Together, Bruce and Carol lived on a farm where they raised a small herd of cattle. Carol was strong and worked just as hard as the men on the farm. Every year, family and friends would get together to help prep the cows and herd them on the mountain for the summer. They spent many hours on the mountain checking on the cows and enjoying time together.

Carol enjoyed being outside. She loved going on the mountain, especially riding up the canyon with Bruce and her dogs, camping, fishing, and boating. She loved to read and do crossword puzzles. She was a wonderful cook and loved doing it for others. She loved quilting with her siblings and spending time with them.

Carol's nieces and nephews called her Honey, and this nickname stuck with her. She loved doing fun things with them, like coloring Easter eggs, driving up the mountain to look at colorful leaves, taking them to help with farm chores, and sleepovers with lots of junk food. Honey drove her little red Ford Ranger everywhere! Her nieces and nephews enjoyed riding in and eventually driving Honey's truck.

Carol worked in Medical Records at the Richfield Care Center for more than 30 years, where she formed a lifelong friendship with Heidi that soon grew into a family. Dustin and Heidi became "the kids" to Honey and Bruce. After the passing of Bruce, Heidi and Dustin lovingly welcomed Honey into their home, where she spent the last 10 years! Their youngest son called her "Carl" and that nickname stuck with her, too. Carol became part of Dustin and Heidi's family and over the years shared countless memories, laughter, and everyday moments that meant so much to all of them.

Carol's family will be forever grateful to Heidi and her family for stepping up and being what she needed. We can't thank you enough for loving her like we all loved her

Carol is survived by her sisters, Norma "Noni" {Wayne) Washburn, Richfield; Sandy {Bart) Aaron, Orem; brother Doug "Fud" {Carol) Christensen, Glenwood; sister-in-law, Madaleen {Reg) Bingham, Sevier; brother-in-law, Richard {Kathy) McIntosh, Monroe; her nieces, Amber Christensen, Brianne Christensen and their boys, all Richfield; nephews, Josh {Shantel) Christensen and kids and grandkids, all Richfield; Tyler {Kenzie) Aaron and son, Lehi; James Aaron, Orem; "her kids", Heidi {Dustin) Acord, their boys and pup Hank, Austin.
