Chan’Til Worthen
Taylorsville/Mayfield

Chan’Til Marie Piep Worthen was born on May 22, 1976 to George and Janet Piep in Salt Lake City; and passed away in her home on November 26, 2023. She was one of the youngest from her siblings: Jeff, Cory, and Kelly Piep, along with her twin sister, Chon’Tae Thompson. She grew up in Mayfield and lived a good part of her life there. She was a high school graduate from Gunnison Valley High School in 1995.
She had her first child Jorden young in life, and she later on married her first husband Shane Nelson. They had one daughter together, Bailee. She was soon divorced and remarried to Mike Worthen, having two more daughters: Kinzlee and Brinlee; and then later divorced. She loved her children more than life itself and always wanted the best for them. Despite all the ups and downs they had, they always had each other. She also had three beautiful grandchildren: Aspin, Ryder, and Ellie. If you ever met her, you probably got told about her grandchildren and how amazing they all are and how much they meant to her.
Chan’Til loved reading books, writing, being outside in the water, collecting old antique bottles, walking, and her cat Fred.
She was a CNA and loved her job. She was very well at it. Even though this type of work would be hard for a lot of people, she did it effortlessly. She loved working in the Alzheimer unit.
Her life was cut short and she is going to be missed dearly.
Chan’Til is survived by her children: Jorden (Meghan) Piep, Bailee Nelson, Kinzlee and Brinlee Worthen; her three wonderful grandchildren: Aspin, Ryder, and Ellie; mother, Janet Piep; siblings: Jeff (Lynette) Piep, Cory (Kristy) Piep, Kelly (Carrie) Piep, and Chon’Tae (Ryan) Thompson.
She is preceded in death by her father, George Piep. She loved and missed her father dearly and is now with him again.
“God I know it’s your plan, just help me through it”.
