Collette Machin Gibson, 83, of Centerfield,  passed away on August 26, 2021.  She was born on June 28, 1938 in Salt Lake City, UT to Leslie Robert and Leona Margaret Baird Machin.
Collette met her sweetheart, Walter Gibson, in 1950 at the age of 12, they married two years later in Elko, NV on September 26, 1952.  He preceded her in death on November 22, 2015.

Collette was a born homemaker.  She was a really good cook and enjoyed making bread and cookies.  She enjoyed camping, spending time in the mountains, horses and researching her genealogy.  Collette loved being a home body and being surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her children: Bridget Gibson, Eureka; Melody (Rob) Jeffs, Gunnison; Tracey (Mike) Helton, Centerfield; Justin Gibson, Nephi; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant sister, brother, Robert Machin and great-grandson, Matthew Estey.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 12:00 noon in the Centerfield Cemetery.  A viewing will be held prior to services at Magleby Mortuary, Manti from 10:00-11:00 a.m.  Due to family health & current COVID-19 surge the family is requiring masks be worn.  Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
