Connie Jean Peterson Miller

Connie Jean Peterson Miller, age 82, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, in Hillsboro, Texas. Born in Sevier County, Utah, on April 27, 1944, Connie lived a life beautifully shaped by her devotion to family, her faith, and her profound love for music.

A talented and passionate pianist, Connie filled her life and home with music. She shared this special gift generously with her community, spending many years patiently teaching piano and organ to countless students who carry her musical legacy forward.

Connie’s family journey began on June 7, 1963, when she married LeVoy George Sorensen in the Manti LDS Temple, a union that blessed them with four children. She later found renewed companionship with Marlin G. Miller, marrying him on April 29, 1988, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Connie was preceded in death by her father, Horace L. Peterson; her mother, Ina L. Peterson; and her brothers Robert, Vodell, and Dean.

Her melody and memory live on through her survivors: Children: Mike (Ruby) Sorensen, Robert (Colleen) Sorensen, Julie (Ralph) Gawehn, and Rick (Rebeckah) Sorensen. Family: Her first husband, LeVoy Sorensen, and her ex-spouse, Marlin Miller. Posterity: A beautiful legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private viewing for immediate family and close friends will be held at Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Utah, on Friday, June 19, 2026. 
A public graveside service will be held at the Elsinore City Cemetery at 11:00 am.
