Daniel Morales Villa, 69, a longtime resident of Springville, Utah passed away, Wednesday, October 21, 2020 in Salt Lake City. Daniel was born February 16, 1951 in Chaparaco, Michoacán, México to Rafael Morales and Maria Guadalupe Villa. At a young age, he came to the United States and worked in a nursery in Gardena, CA. It was there that he met the love of his life, Placida Aviña whom he married in 1975 in Zamora, Michoacán, Mexico. Together they raised two daughters and one son and put down roots in Utah.

Daniel was a loving man who instilled a love of family to his children. He enjoyed gardening and having breakfast with his loving wife. He loved family gatherings with his children and grandchildren. Although not an avid fan of baseball, he loved wearing a baseball hat. He enjoyed listening to music and his favorite artists were Vicente Fernandez and Las Jilguerillas.

Daniel had a deep appreciation for the United States and loved living in Utah. He loved his new country so much and in random conversations, he often told his family that upon his passing, he wanted to be buried with an American Flag. He valued the importance of family and earned the respect and love of many and for that reason he will be greatly missed.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Placida; his children: Rocio (Juan), Sandra (Jaime), Rafael (Araceli); and 7 grandchildren: Daniela, Edgar, Zaira, Jaime, Eduardo, Andrea and Elizabeth; his siblings: Jorge, Virginia, Angelina, Martha and Leticia, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Morales, Jr.; his parents, Rafael Morales and Maria Guadalupe Villa; and his brothers, Sergio Morales and Jaime Morales.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 26th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic located at 65 East 500 in Orem. Daniel Morales Villa, de 69 años, residente de Springville, Utah, falleció el miércoles 21 de octubre de 2020. Daniel nació el 16 de febrero de 1951 en Chaparaco, Michoacán, México. A una edad temprana, vino a los Estados Unidos y trabajó en una nerseria en Gardena, CA. Fue allí donde conoció al amor de su vida, Plácida Aviña con quien se casó en 1975 en Zamora, Michoacán, México. Juntos criaron a dos hijas y un hijo.

Daniel fue un hombre cariñoso que inculcó el amor por la familia a sus hijos. Disfrutaba de la jardinería y desayunar con su esposa. Le encantaban las reuniones familiares con sus hijos y nietos. Aunque no era un gran fanático del béisbol, le gustaba usar una gorra de béisbol.

Disfrutaba la música y sus artistas favoritos eran Vicente Fernández y Las Jilguerillas.

Daniel tenía un profundo aprecio por los Estados Unidos y le encantaba vivir en Utah. Amaba tanto a su nuevo país y en conversaciones, a menudo le decía a su familia que, tras su muerte, quería ser enterrado con una bandera estadounidense. Él valoró la importancia de la familia y se ganó el respeto y el amor de todos sus familiares y será extrañado profundamente.

A Daniel le sobreviven su esposa, Plácida; sus hijos Rocío (Juan), Sandra (Jaime), Rafael (Araceli) y 7 nietos, Daniela, Edgar, Zaira, Jaime, Eduardo, Andrea y Elizabeth; sus hermanos Jorge, Virginia, Angelina, Martha y Leticia, y numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas.

Le precedió en la muerte su hijo, Daniel Morales, Jr.; sus padres, Rafael Morales y María Guadalupe Villa; y sus hermanos Sergio Morales y Jaime Morales.

Se llevará a cabo una misa funeral el lunes 26 de octubre de 2020 a las 11:00 a.m. en St. Francis of Assisi Catholic ubicado en 65 East 500 en Orem. El entierro será en el cementerio de la ciudad de Provo ubicado en 610 South State en Provo.

La familia desea expresar su más sincero agradecimiento por el amor, el apoyo y las oraciones durante este momento difícil.
