    On the evening of April 1, 2023, David Andrew Mello passed away at his home after spending the day surrounded by his family, celebrating his 64th birthday. He was born on April 1, 1959 in California to Melvin Joseph Mello and Jacqueline Jean Lacey. He met the love of his life, Gwyn Arlene Horgan and was married for 45 years.  They had 7 children: Dustin (Andrea), Sarah, Michael (Cher), Andrew (Adena), Scott (JoDee), Kathy (Patric), and Alley (Canyon); and 14 grandchildren; brother, Chris (Wendy) Mello.
    Dave had a passion for working on classic cars, finding antiques, caring for animals, and spending time with his family. He took pride in decorating his yard with all of his antique signs and treasures. He was known to be able to fix almost anything and could sell ice to the Eskimos, if he wanted to.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings: Marianne, Pam, and Ronny.
    Graveside services will be held Friday, April 7, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Monroe City Cemetery, where a van viewing will be held, beginning at 12:00 Noon. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
