Debbie Christensen
Richfield, Utah

Deborah Allred Christensen, 70, was born April 16, 1953 to William and Maxine Collard Allred in Mt Pleasant. She was the first of three children, followed by her brothers: Michael and Jerry. She grew up in Mt Pleasant, and later moved to Kearns before the family settled in Richfield about the time she attended junior high.
Debbie graduated from Richfield High School in 1971 and attended what she called Beauty School at the Sevier Valley Tech. She married Karl Christensen in Las Vegas, Nevada August 21, 1976 and together they had four children: Kristopher, Susan, Natalie, and Karly.  Their marriage was later sealed in the Manti Temple in 2005. In 1986, they moved to their family farm east of Richfield.
Debbie smoothly transitioned to life on the farm, becoming a great farm hand and tractor mechanic. Debbie was also known for her years of being a lunch lady, and working at Ogden’s Carpet. She was an avid bowler participating in leagues for over 20 years. She was very talented when it came to handy work such as knitting, crocheting, and counted cross stitch.
Karl passed away early 2004, and she went to work at Mason Machinery Service Department where all those years on the farm came in handy. She retired after 16 years and devoted her time to being a grandma attending basketball, baseball, football, wrestling, soccer, dance, horse and sheep shows, and piano. She could often be heard whistling over the crowd at any of these events.
Debbie survived breast cancer for the first time in 2005 and again in 2022. She passed away unexpectedly after a short illness at on December 1, 2023 at Utah Valley Hospital surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her children: Kristopher (Kristi) Allred, Susan (Adam) Parsons, Natalie Rasmussen, and Karly (Jacob) Freeborn, all of Richfield; 13 grandchildren, twin great-
granddaughters; and her brothers.
She is also preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law, Steven Dan Rasmussen.
