In Loving Memory of Diane Allen
Annabella, Utah
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Diane Ogden Allen, a remarkable woman whose life was a testament to love, devotion, and the joy of simple pleasures. She peacefully passed away at the age of 89 on November 3, 2023 in Monroe. Born on February 26, 1934, in Venice to Heber Jay and Merle Shaw Ogden. She married Bobby Gene Allen on March 9, 1997. He preceded her in death on August 21, 2008. She was a loving wife, a dedicated mother, and a cherished grandmother who dedicated her life to her family and her faith. Her legacy is one of love, service, and the beauty of a life well-lived.
One of the greatest joys in Diane’s life was her family. Diane was blessed with a large family, which brought her immeasurable happiness. Her memory will live through the countless stories, traditions, and values she passed down to each generation.
Diane is survived by her daughters: Aleath Kirkman and Alaina (Brent) Lofgran; son, Shawn (Margie) Elder; daughter-in-law, Nan Elder; step-daughter Ann Allen; step-daughter-in-law, April; 15grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Kathy (Ron) Pekuri; and brother, Lane (Carolyn) Ogden.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Steven Ogden; son, Shelly Elder; son-in-law, Kirk Kirkman; grandson, Brent Lofgran Jr; and stepson-in-law, Patrick Allen.
In addition to her devotion to her family, Diane was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was deeply committed to her faith and found solace and purpose in attending church and from her time serving in the Manti Temple. She enjoyed her relationship with many wonderful friends, neighbors, and fellow church members. She found profound fulfillment in her service and touched the lives of those around her with her kindness and dedication. She enjoyed helping those in need.
Outside of her family and faith, Diane had a passion for the simple joys of life. She enjoyed spending time with her dog Bella, taking walks, doing yoga, losing herself in the pages of a good book, and tending to her lovely plants.
As we remember Diane, we celebrate a life that was rich in love, devotion, and a genuine appreciation for the little moments that make life beautiful. Her spirit will forever thrive in the hearts of those who were fortunate to have known and loved her. Her legacy is one of love, faith, and a profound appreciation for the beauty of life, and the love of the family she adored. She will be remembered for her warm smile, her gentle nature, and her ability to make everyone feel cherished and valued.
Rest in peace, dear Diane. You will be deeply missed, but your love will forever surround us.
