Donna "Ranae" Hyatt

Donna “Ranae” Hyatt, age 75, of Gunnison, Utah, passed away at her home on February 12, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.

Ranae was born December 10, 1950, in Gunnison, Utah, to Keith and Donna Roberts.

She married, LaVal Hyatt, on January 15, 1969. Their marriage was later solemnized for time and eternity in the Payson Utah Temple on January 21, 2023.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose life was centered around love and family. Throughout her life, Ranae was known for her kind heart, strong faith, and generosity. She spent her life caring for others and found joy in simple pleasures — cooking for family, gardening, quilting, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Ranae is survived by her husband, LaVal Hyatt; her children, Melanie Hyatt, Monica (Cody) Turner, and Jeromy (Milissa) Hyatt; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Arlene (David) Hugie, Janet Jensen, and Reed (Josie) Roberts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Donna Roberts, and her siblings Jerry Roberts, Leslie Roberts, Richard Roberts, and Karen Roberts.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Bastian for his compassionate care.

Ranae’s love and legacy will live on through all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 12:00 noon in the Gunnison Stake Center. A viewing will be held prior to services at the Stake Center from 10:30 a.m to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Gunnison Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary Richfield, Salina, and Manti.
