Dorothy Mae “Dottie” Huecker Mullins, 95, completed her joyous journey at her home in Joseph on Thursday, November 2, 2023.  Born on May 19, 1928 to George and Iola Bittner Huecker at the family’s farm house in Bunceton, MO.  Dottie’s parents and her sister, Helen, moved to Southern California around 1942, leaving her older brother, Earl, and sister Vera in Missouri.
Dottie met Russel “Rusty” Mullins, a sailor, and they married in 1945 in Grace Lutheran Church in Los Angeles.  Dottie and Rusty raised their four children in Whittier, CA. She was a stay-at-home mom. They retired to the Salton Sea in California and had over 35 years of fun in the desert. Dottie was very active in the Golden Girls, V.F.W. sand buggy’s, a sorority and much more.  After Rusty passed in 2010, Dottie used to say she traded in the sand and dune buggy’s for snow and side-by-sides, moving to Utah with her youngest daughter, Karen.
Dottie loved her family, animals, home, yard, and people. She was one of the angels God gives us on earth and touched many people, always with a kind word.
She is survived by her children: Linda Francis, Richmond, VA; Michael (Lora) Mullins, Hurricane; Terry (Loren) Jones, Lake Havasu City, AZ; Karen (Danny) Rosenzweig, Joseph; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceded in death by her parents; and all her siblings.
Cremation will be held in the Magleby Mortuary Cremation Center.  Celebration of life will be held at the Good Shepard Lutheran Church, 1270 West  1800 South, Richfield on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. Burial of cremated remains and family services will take place at a later date in the Riverside National Veterans Cemetery, in Riverside, CA. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Good Shephard Lutheran Church in Richfield.
Dottie’s confirmation verse was from Revelations: “. . .be thou faithful unto death and I will give you a crown of life.” Rev 2:10.  Dottie was blessed in her life.
