Douglas Bailey

Douglas N. Bailey was a loving son, brother, and cherished member of his family whose life was filled with adventure, laughter, kindness, and love.

Doug was born on October 31, 1950 to Ernest Ray and Renon Nielson Bailey. He was one of a close-knit family and is survived by his siblings, Cheryl Peterson, David Bailey, Joe Bailey, and Elaine Bailey.

Douglas had a love for the mountains that was a part of who he was. He loved camping, spending time outdoors, and riding his side-by-side through the mountains. There was something about being surrounded by nature that brought him happiness, and those who knew him could easily see how much those adventures meant to him.

Doug had the most wonderful laugh. His smile could light up a room, and his warm and accepting personality made people feel comfortable around him. He never judged others and had a way of accepting everyone exactly as they were. His kindness and genuine love for people left an impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Doug was deeply loved by his family and friends, and his absence will leave a tremendous hole in the lives of those who knew him. He will be remembered for his laughter, his smile, his adventurous spirit, his love of the mountains, and the kindness he showed to others.

Although our hearts are heavy with his passing, we can picture Doug where he belongs—in Heaven, surrounded by the mountains he loved so much, smiling that unforgettable smile and enjoying the freedom and beauty he always found in the outdoors.

Douglas will be loved, remembered, and missed more than words can express.
