Elaine Lucille Ocker, 78 of Elsinore passed away early in the morning of July 8, 2023 in Richfield after a long battle and fight with a lingering illness. She was born September 10, 1944 in Los Angeles, CA to Hilda Kostka. She married Ron Ocker, July 2, 1966 in Reno, Nevada.
Elaine was in the U.S. Coast Guard for 22 years where she retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. She had a very distinguished record.
She loved animals and was a magnet for lost and homeless kitties.
She and Ron are the parents to two sons, Clifford and Clay, whom she loved dearly.
Ferndale became their home for 42 years up until they came to Utah in 2016. She fell in love with the mountain trails and was a guide for the Rocky Mountain ATV Jamboree. She loved camping and being outside.
She is survived by her love, her rock and life partner, Ron Ocker of Elsinore; grandson, Hunter Ocker, Fortuna, CA; sister-in-law, Judy (James) O’Hanen, Redwood Creek, CA. She is preceded in death by her sons, Clifford and Clay; mother, Hilda; siblings, Clifford Kostka and Marianne Carter.
Graveside services and interment will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Elsinore Cemetery. Visitation will be in the Magleby Mortuary from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Military honors will be provided by the Elsinore American Legion Post #75.
