Emilee Patrica Balch, 18, passed away from this earthly life on Thursday, May 10, 2018 in Richfield. She passed away after many years of battling depression and self-worth. She was fighting hard with help from many people, but the depression fought harder. Emilee lived by a philosophy in life to never be afraid of who you are and to embrace your uniqueness. She loved with a passion. Music brought her to life and she enjoyed so many different types. Books were also something that brought enjoyment to her. But the things that brought her the most enjoyment, was being able to spend time with her family, particularly in the outdoors either hunting, fishing, or collecting rocks. She didn’t always feel like she was good in social situations, but she always felt safe with her family.

Emilee was a very exceptional person. She was always kind to everyone and was willing to be friends with those who were different. She enjoyed helping others and she always wanted to be the one to give presents, and to not receive them. She would want others to take a page in her book and to live your life just like that.

Emilee is survived by her parents, Cullen & Tracy Balch, Richfield; siblings: Amanda (Branden) Housley, Ft. Hood, TX; Blake Balch, Redmond; Sydnie Webb, Provo. She is also survived by her grandparents: DeeLynn & Janet Fautin, Marysvale; and Terry & Barbara Balch, Joseph. She is survived by many, many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Also, by a few of her very close friends.

Emilee is preceded in death by her grandfather, Ronald Kohut; and by her aunt, Jennifer Balch.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Magleby Mortuary Chapel in Richfield. Friends may call Tuesday evening May 15, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m at Magleby Mortuary.
