Evanell Smith Schow, fondly known as Evie, passed away on January 7, 2026, in Panguitch, Utah, surrounded by love after a long struggle with medical difficulties. She was born on December 14, 1938, in Henrieville, Utah. Her life was a testament to the enduring spirit of love and dedication, qualities that she carried throughout her remarkable journey.

Evie began her career at a young age, ever committed and fervent in her pursuit of excellence. Her work ethic was legendary; she poured her heart into every task, often going above and beyond to support her colleagues and friends. After a fulfilling career, she found joy in retiring to embrace her most treasured role—being a full-time grandmother. For Evie, family was everything. Her children, Greg Schow and David (Michelle) Schow, were the proud recipients of her unwavering love and support, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Her legacy shines even brighter through her grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She was also the beloved great-grandmother of ten, a title she wore with pride and delight is "Grandma White". Each grandchild and great-grandchild held a special place in her heart, and she invested countless hours into making them feel loved—often seen creating personalized blankets and embroidering cherished pieces for each family member.

Evie's warmth extended beyond her family; she was a beacon in her community, characterized by her outgoing nature and her willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her dedication to her faith was profound, as she wholeheartedly embraced the gospel of Jesus Christ and committed herself to her callings within the church. She inspired many with her kindness, generosity, and an ever-present smile.

Her interests reflected her nurturing spirit—she loved reading and possessed a vast collection of hundreds of books, finding joy and solace in each page. Her creative pursuits included embroidering and cross-stitching, tasks that allowed her to stitch together not just fabric but love, warmth, and memories for her family.

Evie will be forever remembered for her hard work, loving heart, and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. She now rests peacefully, reunited with her beloved parents, Elmer and Violet Rae Smith, her devoted husband, Millard L. Schow, and her cherished son, Chris Schow, along with her daughter-in-law, Suzanne Owens Schow. In their embrace, may she find eternal love and comfort, just as she so willingly shared with everyone throughout her life.
