Florence “Flo” Louise Yearsley was born on January 18, 1943 to parents Florence and Frank Mudie in Bell Gardens California. She was a lover of all animals and had many horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, cows, chickens, goats and pigs, and even a raccoon. She participated in countless rabbit shows, had several Grand Champion Mini Lops and took pride in her knowledge of all kinds of animals. Flo was even in the process of writing a book about her rabbit expertise to share with her wonderful rabbit community. Her passion for animals and the outdoors led to her volunteering for years in scouting, 4H, and even the Fremont Indian State Park museum.

Flo was extremely smart and hard working, she aced the classes to become a paramedic and worked in Victorville, CA as an ambulance driver for more than 10 years.

She is preceded in death by her dear parents; her brother, Eddie; and her son, Gary Schiszler. She leaves behind so many who loved her, including: her sons: Wayne, Mark (Karin), and Roy Schiszler; her grandchildren: Ashlynn "Ash", Brooke, James, Amber, Kaylee, Dylan, Trevor, Matthew, Jessica, Michelle; and three great-grandchildren.

She passed away on August 19, 2022 at 6:46 pm in her Joseph home of natural causes. She was living with her dear friend, Susan Craythorn, at the time of her passing. Flo was a spunky and stubborn woman. She loved to laugh and spend time with her family. Flo was a force to be reckoned with. She was a powerful woman who would do anything and everything to protect and care for her family. She will be missed more than words can describe.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 12:00 Noon in the Joseph Ward Chapel, 75 North Center, in Elsinore, where friends may call from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Cremation services to follow in the Magleby Mortuary Crematory.
