F. Duane Cooper

Duane grew up in Fillmore, graduated from Millard High School, then went into the National Guard and served his country in the Korean War. He married Beverly Winn on Christmas Day in Ely, Nevada 1955. Together they built a beautiful life and family.

Coop was an honest, kind and hardworking man. Kenny, his grandson, describes Coop as a cross between John Wayne and Abraham Lincoln. His favorite place was camping at Fishlake. Fishing with Bill and Gert at Joe Bush. Coop loved to play cards. Favorite memories are playing cards with kids and grandkids.

Duane was a hard-working man his entire life. He was a tire man by trade, working on the largest equipment and jobs. Duane was a talented wood worker and carpenter.

Duane is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Beverly; his children: David Boyd (Dianna) Cooper, Twin Falls, ID; Milton Duane (Michelle) Cooper, Midvale; Joyce (Ken) McDonald, West Valley City; Mike (Wendy) Cooper, Spanish Fork; and Dan Cooper & Catherine, Murray.
