Gail Liddiard

Gail E. Liddiard, age 92, passed away June 30, 2024 in Richfield. He was born September 17, 1931 in Redmond, to Elmer William Liddiard and Alida Johanna Breinholt. Gail grew up in Redmond and graduated from North Sevier High School in Salina where he was known as “Chief” by his friends and classmates.
He married Bonnie Kay Stoker of Richfield on July 3, 1952 in Richfield. They have three daughters: Terri Lynn, JoAnn, Carol Sue Liddiard, all of Richfield. Bonnie preceded him in death on February 12, 2021
They moved their family to McGill, Nevada where Gail worked for Kennecott Copper Corp. In the early 1960’s they moved to West Valley City where he was again employed by Kennecott Copper until he retired. Wanting to get away from city life, they moved back to Richfield. Gail was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to fish, hunt, camp and explore the great outdoors. He spent many hours riding his 4 wheeler with his riding group. He loved their yearly jamborees.
Gail was a fun loving, honest and caring person and was a hard worker. He was a fixer-upper and had many projects. He was a skilled wood-worker and remodeled his homes and built a cabin in Duchenne county.
He will be missed.
Gail is survived by his daughters; brother-in-law, Koze Hallows; sister-in-law, Andrea, Heber City; Wayne (Diana) Stoker, Sarasota, FL.
Also preceded in death by parents; sisters: Colleen Sprecher, Anna Lu Curtis and LaRae Liddiard, killed in WWII.
Graveside service and interment will be held Monday, July 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Redmond Cemetery. Viewing will be that day from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. in the Magleby Mortuary. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
