Gary Lee Jensen, 82, passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family in St George, Utah, September 3, 2020. He was born July 22, 1938 to Lloyd and Grace Jensen of Sigurd, Utah. After leaving home Gary joined the United States Navy in which he proudly served for 6 years. After his marriage to the love of his life, Janice Hendrickson, of Richfield, Utah, he began his 30 year career with The Denver & Rio Grande Railroad.

Gary had a love of travel that led for endless adventures with his wife, Janice, and several family members that were some of his fondest memories.

He is survived by his wife, Janice; daughters: Tammy (Michael) Bryant and Colette (Parker) McQuown; 5 grandsons, 2 great-granddaughters; sisters: Pat Adams and Joan Warenski.

He is preceded in death by his son, Gregg Lee Jensen; parents; siblings: Mack Lloyd Jensen, Lola Jorgenson, Jeannie Lund.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Intermountain Home Care and Hospice of St. George, Carol, Jody and all those who made him comfortable.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday September 9, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Richfield City Cemetery with military honors by the V.F.W. Post #5050 and Navy Honor Guard. A private family gathering will be held at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield prior to the services. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at
