    It is with much sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Gerbrig “Gay” Folkerts Remington, on March 16, 2023 at her home.  Gerbrig Gay was born to Frederik Ernst Folkerts and Aagje Bokma on January 26, 1927 in Breukelen, Atrecht, Netherlands. 
    Gay is survived by her children: Tamra (Forrey) Thompson, Miriam Johnson, Rachael (Lance) Greenwood, Julie Sheffer; 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Merritt Remington and stillborn son, Jimmy Remington.
    She will be laid to rest in graveside services on March 24, 2023 at 11:30 am in the Mayfield Cemetery. A short viewing will be held that day from 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the Magleby Mortuary in Manti.  Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
