Hal Jay Withers, 78, passed away February 13, 2021 in Monroe. He was born August 15, 1942 in Murray, Utah to Leland Winter and Violet May Hardcastle Withers. He married his sweetheart, Caron Annette Pickett on July 9, 1965 in the Salt Lake Temple. They have been married for 55 years.
A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hal served in the Canadian Mission from 1961 to 1963.
He worked in the plumbing supply business for 45 years. Hal enjoyed spending time with his family camping, hunting with his sons, enjoyed traveling to watch grandkids in all their activities. He enjoyed his early morning walks.
Hal is survived by his wife, Caron; children: Jay (Jamie) Withers, Riverton; Leighann Withers Mullins, St. George; Jared (Shelly) Withers, Eagle Mountain; Amie (Rand) Newby, Monroe; 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild plus 2 bonus great-grandchildren; siblings: Iris (Harold) Gray, South Jordan; Dot Olson, Riverton; Ivan (Marjorie) Withers, Lehi; Charlie (Shanon) Withers, Ephraim; Roger (Joyce) Withers, South Jordan; sisters-in-law, Marilee Withers, Riverton, MayDell Withers, Riverton; brother-in-law, John Corak, South Jordan.
Preceded in death by parents; siblings: Wanda Withers, Baby Withers, LeRoy (Marie) Withers, Mary (Lawrence) Pedersen, Lawrence Dee Withers, Gerald Withers, Leah Corak; brother-in-law, Val Olson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Monroe Stake Center where friends may call from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery with Military Rites by the Sevier Valley American Legion Post #37.
