Jerrie S Frank

December 17, 1940 — June 7, 2025

Manti, Utah

Jerrie Kay Shand Frank passed away June 7, 2025 at the age of 84 surrounded by many who loved and adored her. Born on December 17, 1940 to Arthur David and Leda Olsen Shand. Following the passing of her mother Leda, Mama Merle became the angel the family needed. Jerrie was born and raised in Manti, Utah where she graduated from Manti High School. Following graduation, she attended Snow College and Utah State University earning her bachelors degree in education. Her love of learning motivated her to further her education obtaining a doctorate degree from the University of Utah in administrative education.

Jerrie married Mike William Frank on December 27, 1966. As soulmates and best friends they shared a life together, as they held hands, played in the sunshine and laughed every day.

Jerrie’s career in education was priceless to the many she mentored. As a highly recognized principal in the Granite School District, she received many awards recognizing her leadership ability and outstanding service. They included Administrator of the Year, Excellence in Educational Leadership Award, and the Utah State Legislature Award, just to name a few.

Jerrie was a ray of sunshine to all who knew her. She was selfless, uplifting, kind, always positive, and lived every day to the fullest. From tailoring her own suits, to reupholstering a chair, there was nothing she couldn’t construct or repair. The outdoors were her playground as she golfed on the greens, skied at Lake Powell, and beautified her gardens. Jerrie was a classy lady with an exquisite style and an impeccably detailed home. Jerrie woke up with a spring in her step and love for life. She learned the value of hard work being raised on a farm. Busy as a bee, she beautified the world around her, making every project shine.

Survived by siblings Donald D. Shand and Ardith Shand. Preceded in death by her husband Michael William Frank, her parents Arthur, Leda, and Merle Shand, siblings Lorraine Raines, Francis Shand, Patricia Lund, and Janet Paulson.
