Jerry Long

Jerry Allen Long, 79, passed away on July 27, 2026, in Centerfield, Utah. Born in 1946 in Marysvale, Utah, to Joseph and Bertha (Christensen) Long. Jerry was known for his cheerful warmth, ready laugh, and endless supply of stories.

An avid lover of the outdoors, he cherished the many hiking trips he shared with his son. Jerry was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved most. Jerry was also a talented cheesemaker—a craft that he took great joy in sharing with friends and family alike.

He is deeply missed by his devoted wife, Susan Jackson Long; his son, Shannon (Ashley) Long; and his sister, Linda Davis. His legacy lives on through his seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald Long.
