Dr. Parker grew up on the farm in Joseph, Utah where he learned hard work and ingenuity.  He joined the Navy in 1946, where they put him in charge of training all the new recruits in San Diego.  Thereafter, he attended BYU, where he met Darlene and fell in love at first sight.  Juel and Darlene were married in the Salt Lake Temple on October 5, 1949.  Juel attended dental school at the University of the Pacific, in San Francisco, and later attended Mayo Clinic, in Rochester Minnesota, where he got his oral surgery degree in 1964.  He began his oral surgery practice in Las Vegas in 1965, where he was beloved by his many patients who referred to him as “Painless Parker.”

Dr. Parker held many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, yet his favorite calling was when he and Darlene served a senior mission in Perth Australia from 2000-2002.
