Karl “Hig” Gillins
Richfield, Utah

Karl Gillins passed away December 11, 2021 in Richfield.  He was born February 23, 1946 in Minersville, Utah to George Hilton and Norma Daisy Jensen Gillins. Karl attended Beaver High School where he was the equipment manager for all sports for four years.

Karl started working for Carl Truman in the Minersville Feed Store. After the death of his dad, Karl and his mom moved to Hurricane, Utah where Karl was employed at J.B.’s Restaurant in St. George for 20 years. He and his mom moved to Richfield in 1998. He attended all events and Richfield High School gave Karl a gold card to attend all sporting events free for the rest of his life.  He loved to ride his wheel chair to Gayle’s Chevron to visit his cousin and all his friends and see his true love, Kammie. She was so good to him.

Everyone loved Karl. He was everyone’s friend. He was so fun to be around. We will miss him dearly.
