LaRue Ann Andreason King, 77, passed away September 11, 2018 in the Richfield Care Center from Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born in American Fork on December 17, 1940 to Loris Ivan Andreason and Dea LaRue Church. She married O. Max King on October 1, 1960 in Elko Nevada and sealed in the Manti Temple on October 10, 1987. He preceded her in death March 21, 2006.

LaRue was a fun, vibrant woman who loved to serve others. She was involved in Vacation Bible School, Primary, served as president in the Young Women’s and also as Relief Society president in the Lamanite Branch in Richfield. She loved serving in the Daughter’s of Utah Pioneers. She worked at the Cottonwood Hospital cafeteria and also worked as a waitress, motel maid, housekeeper, hardware store clerk and cook at the Senior Center in Cahone, CO and Richfield. She served a mission with her husband at Cove Fort.

A woman of collections, LaRue had bells, music boxes, cookie jars, and tea pots. She loved to be in the mountains where she loved to fish, metal detect and explore old mines. She loved to crochet, sew, can foods, and bake new things. She kept a journal and read scriptures every day.

LaRue was loved and very well taken care of by her care center family. We appreciate everything that was done for her there.

Survived by her children: Michael (Jaki) King, St. George; Gary (Heidi) King, Mesa, AZ; Paul (Kelly) King, Cortez, CO; Kristina King, Elsinore; Pamela (Kendall) Sorensen, Elsinore; 27 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; siblings: David (Fern) Andreason, Cortez, CO; Russell Church, Grand Junction, CO.

Also preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Russell Church; in-laws: Oral & Alice King; brother, Robert Church; brothers-in-law: Thane King, Ervin Sackett; sisters-in-law, Judy Church, Frances Hickman; grandson, Kevin King.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Elsinore Ward Chapel. Friends may call Friday evening at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield, from 6-8 p.m. or Saturday at the ward chapel in Elsinore from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Elsinore Cemetery.
