    Lois Etta Rollins Gillins passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on August 11, 2023 in Draper. She was born in Milford on May 20, 1941 to Leland Doyle Rollins and Sylvia Luella Baker Erickson Rollins. She was raised in Minersville and Orem. She married her eternal companion, Gerald Robert Gillins, on November 30, 1957. Their marriage was solemnized in the St. George Temple on July 1, 1961. He preceded her in death January 16, 2022. 
    Lois was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Most of her church service involved music and family history. She was very proud of her time as a family history missionary.  
    Lois was a professional bowler, ranking 7th in the WIBC and majored in Computer Sciences at UVU. Lois worked in the IT department for the Utah Department of Transportation, and was the head of that department when she retired. She loved the outdoors and relished hunting, fishing, camping, rock hunting and was an avid baseball fan. Lois was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and used her passion for genealogy to share the stories of our pioneer ancestors with her camp. 
    Lois is lovingly remembered by her children: Tonya (Richard) Carman, Gerald Mark (Holly) Gillins, Rebeckah (Lincoln) Watkins, Nathan (Taunya) Gillins; 23 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Beverly Stidham, Lee (Katie) Rollins.  Also preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Baker Erickson, Phyllis Hoopes.
    Many heartfelt thanks to Ashford Memory Care and Aspire Hospice for the compassionate, skilled care they gave our mother. 
    Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 11:00 in the Annabella 1st Ward Chapel, 89 North 100 East. Viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30-10:30. Burial will be in the Minersville Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.  Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti. Online guestbook at www.maglebymortuary.com
