In Loving Memory of Lynda Bringhurst Bennett
January 28, 1947 – October 2, 2025
Lynda Bringhurst Bennett, age 78, of Manti, Utah, returned peacefully to her loving Heavenly Father at her home on October 2, 2025.
She was born on January 28, 1947, to Vern and Oceal Bringhurst, and was a lifelong example of kindness, strength, and grace. On June 9, 1969, she married the love of her life, Joe C. Bennett. Together, they built a life centered on faith, service, and unconditional love. Joe preceded her in death just nine months ago, and we take comfort in knowing they are now joyfully reunited.
Lynda had a special gift for making others feel seen, valued, and loved. Whether through her warm embrace, her infectious laughter, or a well-timed homemade treat, she made people feel at home. A talented sewer, baker, cook, and crafter, she generously shared her talents and always seemed to know just what others needed -whether it was a comforting meal, a sweet dessert, or simply a listening ear.
She was classy and vivacious, beautiful and intelligent, fun-loving and fiercely strong. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lynda served faithfully in many callings throughout her life. Her love for the gospel radiated through her actions, her words, and the way she cared for others.
Family was everything to Lynda. Her greatest joy came when her home was filled with the laughter and love of her children and grandchildren. There was always a hot meal on the stove and a little something to satisfy your sweet tooth (perhaps one of Lynda B’s Big Buns). She also loved a good book, a good movie, and a quiet moment to enjoy both.
Lynda is survived by her children: Lesa (Claude) Hamilton, Jodi (Franklin) O’Driscoll, Christy (Jay) Kassabaum, Mandi (Brett) Hansen, Tyler (Cynthia) Bennett, Travis (Sheree) Bennett, Jolynn (Rodney) Hodson, and Michael (Amanda) Bennett. She was a cherished grandma to 29 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Her brothers, Ellis (Linda) Bringhurst, and Garry (Sheila) Bringhurst.
Her legacy of faith, love, and joyful service will live on in all who knew her.
