    Margie Akee Mann, age 72, born to Lee and Rena Akee on August 21, 1950, in Tuba City, AZ, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2022 at her home. She has lived in the  Gunnison Valley for nearly 40 years, making memories and growing her family.  
    Margie enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. Family time was especially important. Her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought much joy to her life.      Margie has moved on to a new adventure, where she is pain-free, reuniting with her loved ones who preceded her, and being a guardian angel to her family. She will be greatly missed, and our memories of her will live on in our hearts forever. 
    Children: Veronica Cadena, Jennifer Santos (Jesus), Joe Mann Jr. (Nomita), Priscilla Mann, Brian Mann, Vanessa Mann, Franklin Mann, Joseph Mann (Mackenzie). Grandchildren: Kevin (Jessica), Nathaniel, Alicia, Myda, Andres, Jesus, Juan, Joshua, Joe, Mykal (Katie), Trent,  Tevon, Tinissa, Monisha, Nyneishia, Felisha (Kyle), Kayla (Terrence), Jordan, Kadence, Peyton, Ryker, Christina, Breanna. Great-grandchildren: Evan, Tristan, Caleb, Camry, Mason, Maddox, Olivia, Lenora, Taevyn, Korvin, Isabella, Hendrix, Coan, Octavia, Doja.  
    Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Mann Sr.; siblings: Grace Carnes, Roland Akee, Anthony Akee, Lorraine Akee; and grandson, Ricardo Valencia.
    Funeral services will be held Friday, December 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gunnison 5th Ward Chapel in Centerfield, where friends may call from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Cremation services to follow in the Magleby Mortuary Crematory.
