Marty Stock, 84, passed away on March 9, 2026, at his daughter's home in St. George, Utah. He was born on February 24, 1938, to Adelbert “Bert” Stock Jr. and Arma Dutton Stock. Marty was the fourth of Bert and Arma’s six children.
Marty joined the US Army shortly after High School and was stationed at Fort Ord, CA, and Ft Lewis, WA. After discharge from the Army, he moved to Kearns, Utah, where he worked at the Lark Ore Mine. Marty then moved his family to Gunnison, UT, where he worked at the Salina Canyon Coal Mine. He then relocated to St. George, UT, where he managed a motel and worked for the St George City maintenance department. He retired from St George City and settled in Manti, UT, to be closer to his kids and grandkids. Most recently, he has lived in St George with his daughter.
Marty enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being in the outdoors. He was an avid “bowler” and participated in several tournaments throughout his life.
Marty married Flora Jean Haws; they later divorced, he then married Gail Spencer, and the two spent many wonderful years together.
Marty is survived by his sons Richard Dean (Karleen) McInelly and Kaylon Dee McInelly; daughters Ronni K (Willie) Donovan and Kristy (Sean) Clark; his son-in-law William Anderson; siblings: Iris Burr, Nora Wagner, and Jeff Stock; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Adelbert “Bert” Stock Jr. and Arma Dutton Stock; his wife, Gail Spencer Stock; and his daughters, Jeanette Stock, Teresa Stock, and Toni Stock Anderson. Also preceding him in death are his brother Gerald Stock and sister-in-law Lora Dawn Stock, his sister, Carol Stock, and his brothers-in-law, Arnell Burr and James Wagner.
Graveside Services and Interment will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Escalante City Cemetery with Military Honors.
