    Mary Ann Sessions Nielson, 79, passed away April 1, 2024, after a long battle with diabetes. Mary Ann was born September 21, 1944, to Thomas and Bernice Crosland Sessions in Vancouver, Washington. She married Rulon E “Jay” Nielson in Ely, Nevada on July 22, 1960.
    Mary Ann was a beloved daughter, sister, wife mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a friend to all who knew her. She was a very generous person, helping anyone in need. 
    Her professional life was processing insurance claims for the University of Utah and later for Smith Administrators. She loved camping, fishing and hunting, just getting into the outdoors
and being with family. She loved going to Wendover to gamble, her favorite game was three
card draw poker. She enjoyed watching the Jazz games with her husband Jay and watching
videos of her new great-grandson, Liam, every night on her cell phone. She loved to watch
game shows on TV, even recording them so she wouldn’t miss out on anything. 
    Mary Ann is survived by her husband Jay; two sons Rob (Lisa), Murray; Greg (Natalie),
Eagle Mountain; brother, Roy (Elaine), Orem; sister-in-law, Becky, Big Water; and brother-in-law, Scott Anderson, Richfield. 
    Preceded in death by her parents; sister, Judy Anderson; brothers Buddy, Ted and Stan Sessions.
