Melissa Hartle

Melissa Hartle, 51, Payson, passed away October 12, 2025 with her family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 13, 1974 to Hal Marquardson and Marianne Morgan in Richfield, Utah. She married Weston Hartle, July 1, 1994 and they were later sealed in the Manti Temple.

Melissa graduated from Richfield High School in 1992. She excelled in academics, track, and tennis. Melissa was a state champion in the 800 meter run, going undefeated during her senior year. She and her teammates set the state record in the medley relay. After high school she attended Utah Valley State College where she obtained an associates degree. She worked as a legal secretary at the Utah County Attorney's Office.

Melissa cherished and enjoyed being a mother. Her children were her highest priority. She was the biggest supporter of her children and everything they were involved in. She especially loved going to their sporting events.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in Primary, Young Women's, and Relief Society. She had a strong testimony of the gospel and a love for her Savior.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Weston; children, Jayden (Julia) Hartle, Gunnison; Aubree (Tyler) Curtis, Richfield; Maren (Austin) Parrish, Payson; grandchildren, VanAcey, Oakley, Maizey, and Ivie; father, Hal Marquardson; mother, Marianne (John) Morgan; siblings, Stephanie (Kenneth) Ramsay, Angela (Brad) Syddall, Amy (Cody) Morgan, Ryan (Shayla) Marquardson, Clay (Randa) Morgan, Chad Morgan; mother-in-law, Donna Hartle; brothers-in-law, Lenny (Amy) Hartle, Laramie (Shalon) Hartle, Dallas (Jennifer) Hartle, Jesse (Samantha) Hartle.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents and Dean Hartle, father-in-law.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Dry Mountain Ward Chapel, 586 West 1750 South, Payson. There will be a viewing Friday, October 17, 2025 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and Saturday morning prior to services from 9:30 - 10:30 am at the church. Interment will be in the Richfield City Cemetery at 2:30 pm.
