Justice Michael Barnes, born on November 16, 1997, in Bend, Oregon, passed away on June 12, 2025. His vibrant spirit and hard-working nature left a mark on all who knew him.
Justice dedicated much of his professional life to the field of security, where he served as a security guard and exhibited a profound commitment to his duties, earning recognition through a prestigious security award. He also worked in personal detail, showcasing his dependable character and dedication to those he served. A proud member of the Army Reserves, Justice served as a Combat Engineer, further underscoring his commitment to duty and service.
Education was an important aspect of Justice's life, and he was honored to be a member of the National Honor Society during his school years. This achievement reflected not only his academics but also the values of leadership and community involvement that he carried into adulthood.
Justice was known for wearing his heart on his sleeve. He was incredibly kind and helpful, always eager to lend a hand to those in need. Described as a silent warrior, his dedication to helping others was evident in the meaningful connections he built. Rather than simply making friends, Justice had a remarkable ability to make all family to him, expanding the circle of those he cherished.
His personality shone brightly through his love for odd humor, endearing himself to many. Those close to him appreciated his unique sense of fun and his zest for experiencing life to its fullest. His untimely departure has left a profound void, yet his memory will carry on in the hearts of his loved ones—that he took a piece of the best of them with him on his next adventure.
Justice is survived by his devoted parents, Zenus Barnes and Andrea Barnes, and his step-father, David Darling. He leaves behind his beloved sister, Aurora Barnes; and brothers, Christopher Darling, Jackson Darling, Jose Lavato, Ricky Perez, Rudy Perez, and Tyler Mockler. He is also remembered fondly by his aunts, Angel Barnes, Alicia Griffin, and Deanna Kelley, as well as his cherished grandparents, Floyd and Patricia Barnes, Cindy and Charles Baker, and Lisa and Paul Weatherbee, Debbie Simmons and Jim Darling. The legacy of Justice echoes through the limitless cousins, friends, and parents of exes who loved and adored him.
Cremation service will take place at the Magleby Mortuary Cremation Center. There will be a Celebration of Life for all his loved ones to send him on his next adventure in the sky.
Justice Michael Barnes may have departed from this world, but the love he shared and the lives he touched will ensure his spirit remains alive forever in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
