Annabella/ Ogden

Nancy Lee Gleave Hoyle, 87, returned to our heavenly father and reunited with the love of her life, Elwin Hoyle, on April 16, 2023 in Ogden.  She was born October 20, 1935 in Annabella to Robert Lee and Madge Johanna Anderson Gleave. She attended South Sevier High School, where she excelled both socially and academically serving as their head cheerleader, and graduating in 1953.
Days after graduating high school, on May 27, 1953, she married her forever sweetheart, Elwin, in the Manti Temple. They were proud parents of their two children: Kathy and Eddie.  Nancy and Elwin were known for their wonderful voices. They often sang together in funerals and other events. Together they shared 66 years, until Elwin’s passing.
Throughout her life, Nancy was known for her kind heart and service to her family and the community of Annabella. She was a wonderful cook and used this talent to serve others. She helped prepare countless meals for town activities and also for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, through her involvement with the Relief Society. Nancy also loved making chocolates for holiday gifts, which were always eagerly awaited by her family and friends.
Nancy loved the Utah Jazz! She was always sure to watch all their games on TV. She also enjoyed cheering for and watching the Utah Utes. Nancy also loved her soap operas and game shows.
She is survived by children: Kathy Bagley, Murray; Elwin Robert “Eddie” Hoyle, Ogden; grandchildren: Jesse Washburn, Ashley Stebbins, Skyler Hoyle, Hilary (Jessie) Hall, Brandi (Cody) Hatch; 7 great-grandchildren.
Also preceded in death by her parents; great-granddaughter, Addrina Lyn Hall; siblings: Ronald Gleave, Helen Shaw, Robert Lee Gleave and Larry Gleave.
Nancy will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her memory will be cherished forever.
