Ora Lou Larsen

West Valley City, Utah

Our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Ora Lou Greenwood Larsen, passed away on her 80th birthday, September 24, 2020 in West Valley City. Ora Lou was born September 24, 1940, to Hurburt and Carma Greenwood in Richfield, Utah. She grew up in Ogden and attended Ogden High School.

Ora Lou married Raymond B. Mikkelsen on August 2, 1957. Lou’s greatest accomplishment was her family. She was the mother of three children: Steve Nolton, Raymond Bryan Mikkelsen and Shane Mikkelsen. Lou had a great sense of humor and enjoyed joking with all who knew her. People were naturally drawn to Lou because of her carefree personality and fun-loving nature. She was loving and generous with her grandchild and enjoyed spending time with them. Family gatherings were always filled with laughter.

Lou later married Blaine N. Larsen. She loved playing golf and was a member of the Copper Club in Magna, Utah. She enjoyed summers at her home in West Valley and winters in Mesquite, NV with her golfing friends. We honor the special life she has lived, and we will miss her sweet spirit, laughter and practical joking in our lives.

Lou is survived in death by her brother, Bruce Greenwood; son, Steve Nolton and daughter-in-law, Rose Nolton; son, Shane Mikkelsen and daughter-in-law, Bethany Mikkelsen, 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her son, Raymond Bryan Mikkelsen; her parents; siblings: Della Greenwood, Danny Greenwood, Phil Greenwood.

Our family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Tim Coltrin and his staff at Beehive House of Roy Home care, for their kind and loving care of our mother

over these past months, as well as Becky Barnes with Hospice Care, and Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, UT.
