Paul Price, age 69, of Junction, Utah, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026, following multiple health complications.
Paul was born on June 13, 1957, in Henderson, Nevada, to Guy and Loana Price. He was the second of five children. He graduated from Piute High School in 1975.
Paul married Barbara Raylene Morgan on April 27, 1985, in Washington, Utah. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Utah Temple on April 24, 2015.
Paul and Barbara built a beautiful family together. He was a devoted husband and father to Krista (Shane) Preece and a loving stepfather to Sheila (Bruce) Bailey, Steve (Bonnie) Mathews, and Julie (Brian) Santiago. He was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather to 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, whom he loved deeply.
Paul was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. Those who knew him could see his faith through the way he lived his life. Paul showed his love through service. He was always willing to help others, whether by giving his time, knowledge, or advice. There seemed to be very little Paul didn’t know how to do.
Paul was a man of great character, integrity, and an exceptionally strong work ethic. Whatever he put his hand to, he believed in doing well and doing it right.
After one semester of college, Paul began what would become a long and successful career in the underground mining industry. He spent most of his career mining gold with Small Mine Development, working his way through the years to become a superintendent and eventually a part owner of the company. He retired in December 2019 from the career he truly loved and was deeply passionate about.
Like his father, Paul had a great love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, exploring on his RZR, and snowmobiling. After retirement, his passion for hunting and the outdoors took him around the world, giving him the opportunity to experience places and adventures many only dream about. He had a deep respect and appreciation for wildlife and the animals he pursued.
Paul was a larger-than-life presence whose absence will leave a tremendous void in the lives of his family, friends, neighbors, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His fun sense of humor, adventurous spirit, willingness to help others, strong work ethic, many talents, and unwavering character will be remembered and cherished for generations to come.
Paul was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Guy and Loana Price, and his step-granddaughter, Kassi Lynn Kelly.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Price; daughter Krista (Shane) Preece; stepchildren Sheila (Bruce) Bailey, Steve (Bonnie) Mathews, and Julie (Brian) Santiago; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and his four siblings, Keith (Rolene) Price, Chad (Lynda) Price, Pam (Wesley) Erickson, and Melanee (Nuel) Anderson. He also leaves behind numerous extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
Paul will be remembered as a giant of a man—with a fun sense of humor, an adventurous spirit, a generous heart, a love for the outdoors, a passion for painting and woodworking, and a willingness to lend a helping hand. His legacy will live on through the family he loved so deeply and the many lives he touched throughout his life.
