Koosharem, Utah

    Ranae Torgersen Norman, 71, of Koosharem, Utah, passed away November 9, 2022, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving husband and five children. She was born in Salina, Utah, to Reuben Maynard and Opal Brindley Torgersen on September 28, 1951. She was the youngest of seven children. Ranae grew up in Koosharem working and playing alongside her
parents and siblings. 
    Ranae married Sharon Val Norman in the Manti Temple, August 21, 1970. 
    A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ranae fulfilled many callings in the church. She was a true example of what Christ wants us to be. She showed compassion and love to everyone she met. Through all her trials, she was a strong courageous daughter of God who showed love and compassion to everyone.
    Ranae loved and treasured the quality time she spent with Val traveling wherever they could go to see the splendor and beauty of the world that God created. She deeply loved and treasured all her children which she considered to be one of her greatest blessings. 
    Survived by her husband, Val Norman; children: Cory (Angie) Norman, Ryan (Marti) Norman, Julianne (Justin) Johnson, Kristi (Jim) Rowley, Suzanne (Ryan) Cook; 21 grandkids and 3 great-grandkids. She is also survived by sister, Sheron (Mel) Kleinman, and brothers: Sherill (Dianne) Torgersen, and LaDon (Melinda) Torgersen. 
    She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Hal Torgersen, Tarval Torgersen;  and sister, Maydene Oldroyd. 
    Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Koosharem Ward Chapel, where friends may call Friday evening from 6-7 pm or Saturday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Koosharem Cemetery.
