    Ronald Leod Martin, 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Annabella, Utah from complications of stomach cancer on September 8, 2022.  
    He was born November 11, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles Allen and Eleanor Rose Martin.  He married Mary Gean Worthen, June 17, 1960 in Salt Lake City.  They were sealed on December 2, 1978 in the Salt Lake Temple.
    Ron was proud of being a U.S. Navy veteran where he worked as an aviator mechanic, during the Korean War.  After he returned from his military service he worked as a Salt Lake City Police Officer for 30 years, he was also a real estate agent with Century 21.  He and Gean worked as camp hosts up American Fork Canyon and at Bear Lake.  
    He and his wife “retired” to Annabella where they built the home of their dreams.  He loved fishing, hunting, being in the outdoors and boating with his family any chance he could, but he especially loved dancing with his baby doll, the love of his life, Gean.
    Ron served in many different callings within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including serving as bishop in the Annabella 1st Ward where he lovingly watched over his congregation.
    He is survived by his wife, Gean, of Annabella; children: Ronald Dean Martin, Richfield; Cynthia Gean Martin, St. George; Barry Allen Martin, Annabella; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings: Gayle (Dick) DeFa and Shauna Martin, both of Salt Lake Valley.  He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Shirley Haycock, Bill Martin, Dave Martin, and Bob Martin.
    Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 12 Noon in the Annabella 1st Ward Chapel where friends may call Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30.  Burial will be in the Annabella Cemetery with military honors provided by Sevier Valley American Legion Post #37  and U.S. Navy Honor Guard.  Live streaming and online guestbook can be found on Ron’s obituary  www.maglebymortuary.com on his obituary page the day of the service.
